Zero-waste diy translucent face powder

After being surprised with how well my blusher turned out, I thought I’d make a homemade translucent face powder too. It was so quick to make as it didn’t require any oven-drying or crushing with a pestle and mortar.

It used:

  • 4 tsp arrowroot powder
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

I mixed all these ingredients together with a spoon, then added a few drops of lavender essential oil to mask the smell of cocoa powder and put the powder into a small jar to store.

When it comes to using it I shake the jar because the right amount of powder sticks to the lid. Then I siwrl a brush in this dust it all over my face until it’s blended!

I have to say it gives a really nice finish on the skin! and I’ve been trying it out for a couple of weeks now - it hasn’t caused any break outs or irritation. It was also super quick to make. I would definitely recommend trying if you’re interested in doing some diy makeup plus you can always use the ingredients for cooking if you don’t get on!
